Embroidered scapular, Brown scapular, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Multiple sizes, Miraculous Medal, St Benedict, Catholic, Escapulario, Wool
The Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (also known as the Brown Scapular) belongs to the habit of both the Carmelite Order and the Discalced Carmelite Order, both of which have Our Lady of Mount Carmel as their patroness. In its small form, it is widely popular within the Latin Church of the Catholic Church as a religious article. The liturgical feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16, is popularly associated with the devotion of the Scapular.

To be worn by everyone, every day, everywhere.
These brown scapulars have 3 cm x 4 cm images and also brown herringbone cord (which is very hard wearing). They come in three sizes:
- Child, 33 cm (13 inches) long cord
- Adult, 40 cm (15.7 inches) long cord
- Adult, 50 cm ( 19.7 inches) long cord
Fabric: Felt 100% wool with a mixed wool underlayer.
Traditionally, only 100% wool felt was used for scapulars in imitation of the habit that the Carmelites used in the past. Today, even the most traditional Carmelites use a fabric which is a blend of wool and other materials. This is due to practicality, cost and availability.
A Miraculous Medal and/or a Crucifix with an imprint of the St Benedict Medal on the back can be added for a small added cost.

Great purchase! The embroidery is beautiful!
Beautiful sturdy and matched description
I bought this rosary purse for a friend (who is a priest) for his anniversary, and he loves it! It is beautifully made, especially the Lamb of God motif on the front. The purse more than met my expectations. I've purchased items from this vendor before - they are quality! Five plus stars.
This Brown Scapular is gorgeous! If my previous purchase of scapulars from here is anything to go by, it will last a long time (that's a guarantee from me, as mine has been constantly around my neck for four years!). The photograph doesn't do it justice, and it would make a beautiful gift for anyone receiving either of the Seven Sacraments or for initiation into the Brown Scapular by a priest.
Just as a suggestion: The embroidery is so beautifully done that if you or your parish have a statue of Our Lady of Fatima (as traditionally she holds a rosary in one hand and a scapular in the other, on special occasions), it will draw your eyes towards it. Five plus stars!
Beautiful! Thank you! I will order again in the future! Jeanne
