Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham Badge / Patch

This embroidered badge features the emblem of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, a Catholic structure established for groups of former Anglicans entering into full communion with the Catholic Church.

The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham was formally established on 15 January 2011 under the provisions of Pope Benedict XVI's Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum coetibus. It was placed under the patronage of Blessed John Henry Newman and was established initially within the territory of England and Wales.

The Ordinariate provides a particular way for groups of former Anglicans and their clergy to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church while preserving elements of their Anglican heritage and traditions. The Ordinariate is named after Our Lady of Walsingham, whose shrine has a long history of Christian pilgrimage in England.

This embroidered Ordinariate badge can be attached to suitable clothing, jackets, backpacks, pilgrimage bags and other fabric items. For a stronger and more secure attachment, we recommend ironing the patch into position and then sewing around it.
