Our Lady of Mount Carmel brown scapular, available in multiple sizes:
The Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (also known as the Brown Scapular) belongs to the habit of both the Carmelite Order and the Discalced Carmelite Order, both of which have Our Lady of Mount Carmel as their patroness. In its small form, it is widely popular within the Latin Church of the Catholic Church as a religious article. The liturgical feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16, is popularly associated with the devotion of the Scapular.

To be worn by everyone, every day, everywhere.
Scapular images are printed on 100% cotton.
These brown scapulars have 3 cm x 4 cm images and also brown herringbone cord(which - is very hard wearing). They come in three sizes:
- Child, 33 cm (13 inches) long cord
- Adult, 40 cm (15.7 inches) long cord
- Adult, 50 cm (19.7 inches) long cord
Traditionally, only 100% wool felt was used for scapulars in imitation of the habit that the Carmelites used in the past. Today, even the most traditional Carmelites use a fabric which is a blend of wool and other materials. This is due to practicality, cost and availability. The 100% wool felt scapular is preferred but I also make mixed felt for people who can't wear wool.
A Miraculous Medal and/or a Crucifix with an imprint of the St Benedict Medal on the back can be added for a small added cost.
Thank-you for viewing!

c
coriandmeg This is certainly lovelier and more robust than my last Scapular - however still not as lovely as the one belonging to my Dad.
Please give me an opportunity to select the name that goes alongside this review.
